  Culinary Activities
A fun, hands-on culinary class or cook-off competition is a great way to add some flavor to your next corporate event.  Meeting delegates will learn some great kitchen tips, tricks and recipes from North Carolina's only AAA Five Diamond chefs.

The Culinary School

The Culinary School at Fearrington is a great way to introduce new colleagues, motivate small groups, and reward your top employees. Suitable for groups up to 20, the Culinary School takes place in the new teaching kitchen at The Fearrington House Restaurant with hands-on instruction from award-winning chefs. Students create a two-course meal using fresh, locally grown and specialty ingredients.

Ready Steady Cook
The Ready Steady Cook Challenge is ideal for groups of 15-100 looking for a fun culinary and team building experience. Each team is challenged to create a meal using limited resources and a secret ingredient within a specified time limit. The Fearrington House Chefs judge the teams on creativity, use of ingredients, presentation, taste and, of course, team work!

Herb and Wine Pairing
Join Fearrington House Wine Director Maximilian Kast for an exploration of taste. The pairing begins with a tour of the Fearrington House gardens and an exploration of the aromas of familiar and exotic herbs. With those scents and flavors fresh in your memory, Max introduces a selection of six wines, their production methods and history, and then pairs each one to a different herb from the garden, noticing the effects the flavors have on the wine and how they contribute or take away from a wine. This tasting focuses on the power of your senses and shows that by noticing the simple you can increase our enjoyment of food and wine.

Chocolate Truffle and Wine Pairing
Chocolate enthusiasts will love this wine tasting!  Wine Director Maximilian Kast will select wines to complement the creations of Fearrington House Chocolatiere Jill Leckey. Four wines are paired to four different chocolate truffles and the nuances of flavor are explored in each along with how they react to the different wines. Max will pick a wide variety of wines for this tasting so be prepared to try something new.
